9/11: Remember

Subject: 9/11: Remember Tue Sep 11, 2012 8:58 am

Today is a day of rememberence.
It was on this very day - September 11th, 2001 - that airplanes of a terrorist organization crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Thousands of people lost their lives that day, and there were possibly hundreds of others that also lost their lives trying to save those that were being attacked. As we remember this day and all that it brings with it, whether it be grief, sadness, vengeance, or just plain indifference, remember.

Remember those that worked so hard in the World Trade Center that died on this unfortunately famous date. Remember those that desperately fought to survive in the crumbling buildings that did not make it. But most of all, remember the families and friends of the dead that keep their memories alive even when it's not on Rememberence Day.
It's not just the World Trade Center that suffered from the on-slaught of terrorist attacks on this day either: The Pentagon was also hit by an aircraft - whether it was belonging to the terrorist group or was hijacked by a terrorist is still unsure of and left up for debate - which was the military headquarters for our nation's military.

And lest we forget the horrific Flight 93 occurance.

Just keep this day close to your heart. And if you do nothing else today... Just remember.

We just watched a flashback live stream of the attack. You can see the second plane hit the tower clear as day.
But the worst part is that as you watch it, one of the newscasters points out a dot on the side of the screen.
That dot turns out to be a body that's falling. Somebody jumped out of the building in a decision to either burn or jump.
... I cried so hard.

That's really sad! i feel bed for all those people that had to make the choice.

It's completely horrific of what those people had to go through.
There were so many accidental suicides that were caught on tape that our class had been forced to watch, and I couldn't handle it. I just stared to cry in class and I didn't even care who saw me do it.

This is just so sad. I find it sickening why they picked September 11th to be the date-
Since 911 is the emergency number, the terrorists thought it would be fitting to use that date. If they wanted to collapse the twin towers right away, they would have hit the bottom, but instead they hit the middle/top so it would take about an hour to collapse. That way, policemen and firefighters would get inside the buildings in an attempt to save them and the people inside, so they'd be in there as well when the buildings fell. That's just not... good.
